Accessibility Statement

Our ongoing, good-faith effort to keep this site usable for everyone — and how to tell us where it falls short.

Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]

This policy is provided as a starting template and is pending legal review.

§01

Our commitment

[COMPANY LEGAL ENTITY] wants this site to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. We make a good-faith, ongoing effort to align this site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review the site as we add content and fix issues as we find them or as they are reported to us.

§02

Measures we have taken

  • Semantic HTML with landmark regions and a logical heading order.
  • A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page.
  • Keyboard operation for interactive controls, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Color and contrast chosen to meet AA contrast targets for body text and interface elements.
  • Motion and scroll animation disabled automatically when the browser requests reduced motion.
  • Content that stays visible and readable when JavaScript is unavailable.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
  • Touch and click targets sized for comfortable use on small screens.
  • Form fields with associated labels, plus help and error text tied to the field.
§03

Known limitations

We know about the following and are working on them:

  • How-to videos are hosted on a third-party player whose controls and captions we do not fully control; caption quality varies by video.
  • Some interactive figures and diagrams are animated illustrations. They are marked as decorative and the same information is available in the surrounding text, but they are not yet fully described.
  • Content and imagery are still being finalized, so some pages may temporarily use placeholder assets.
§04

Third-party content

Some parts of this experience are provided by third parties, including embedded video and the separate online store. We do not control their accessibility, but we do choose vendors with accessibility in mind and will pass on issues you report.

§05

How this was assessed

This statement reflects our own internal review of the site using browser and assistive-technology testing. It has not been evaluated by an independent third-party auditor.

§06
