Disclaimer — Regulatory & Product Claims
What Reset products are intended to do, the claims that are not made for them, and how to use them safely.
Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]
This policy is provided as a starting template and is pending legal review.
Scope
This page applies to this website and to the Reset chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) products described on it, offered by [COMPANY LEGAL ENTITY]. Read it together with the product label, the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), and the directions supplied with the product. If anything on this site differs from the product label, follow the product label.
Product positioning
Reset products are oxidative deodorizers. They are intended solely to neutralize organic and inorganic odor compounds — the sulfur- and nitrogen-based molecules that foul smells are made of. Every performance statement on this site refers to odor neutralization and nothing else.
- Reset is described only in terms of neutralizing, oxidizing, and deodorizing odors.
- Descriptions of settings and odor sources (smoke, pets, garbage, musty odors, marine, horticulture, auto and RV) describe the odors being neutralized — not the treatment of anything else present in that setting.
- Odors can return if the underlying source is not located, removed, or repaired.

Claims that are not made
Reset makes no biocidal claims in the USA. Reset products are not EPA-registered pesticides and are not intended for the mitigation of any pests, including mold, bacteria, or viruses.
- No biocidal claim of any kind is made for these products in the USA.
- No pest-mitigation claim is made, including for mold, bacteria, or viruses.
- No claim is made that these products are a substitute for professional inspection or repair of a moisture, water-intrusion, ventilation, or structural problem.
- No medical, therapeutic, or health-protective claim is made. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
- No air-quality, allergen, or occupational-exposure claim is made.
Use as directed
Reset products are intended to be used exactly as directed. Dosing, contact time, and ventilation guidance are on the product label and in the how-to material on this site.
- Read the product label and the Safety Data Sheet before first use.
- Use only the dose indicated for the volume being treated. More product is not better and does not shorten the treatment.
- Do not combine Reset products with other chemicals, cleaners, or acids.
- Do not occupy an enclosed space during a vapor treatment; ventilate the space after the treatment period and before re-entry.
- Keep product, prepared solution, and treated enclosures away from children and pets.
- Store sealed, dry, and at room temperature, away from incompatible materials.
Coverage estimates
The volumetric calculator, coverage figures, and dosing tables on this site are planning estimates only. Real-world results vary with temperature, humidity, air exchange, material porosity, and how long the odor source has been present. Severe or set-in odors may need a longer treatment or a second pass.
Material compatibility
Chlorine dioxide is an oxidizer. Some materials — including certain dyes, textiles, leathers, finishes, rubbers, electronics, and unprotected metals — can discolor, fade, or degrade on contact with oxidizers.
- Always test on a small, hidden area first and let it dry fully before treating the whole item or space.
- Remove, cover, or relocate anything you are not prepared to risk, including artwork, heirlooms, and sensitive electronics.
- Follow the dose and contact time on the label; longer exposure at higher concentration increases the risk to sensitive materials.
- If you are unsure about a material, do not treat it.
Personal protective equipment
Follow the personal protective equipment (PPE) guidance on the product label and Safety Data Sheet. As a general recommendation: work in a well-ventilated area, wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection when handling tablets or preparing solution, avoid breathing gas or mist, and leave an enclosed space during a vapor treatment. Anyone with a respiratory condition should take extra care and consult their own health professional before use.
